Ansuya’s passion for languages comes from generations of language teachers in her family. Being multilingual, Ansuya realized the importance of international languages in this highly competitive global village. She became a certified language teacher of both English and French, taught at various institutions abroad, and then studied linguistics at the University of Toronto to develop a scientific understanding of language structure. She taught FSL courses for several years at the University of Toronto.

Ansuya has worked as a public servant in a variety of positions in the Official Languages sector of the Government of Canada. These opportunities have given her exposure to various aspects of Canada’s language policies and regulations. She has also served as a learning advisor, language assessor and project manager for French language training in federal institutions such as the Canada School of Public Service and Health Canada. Ansuya has managed a team of 80 French language coaches for the corporate department of a Toronto based French language training centre.

Ansuya’s experience and qualifications in training and professional development in both the corporate and public service sectors allow her to guide individuals who want to meet and exceed the language requirements of their job. Ansuya is able to apply her skills and knowledge to tailor learning plans to better suit learners’ needs.

Being people oriented helps Ansuya to provide a more personal guidance to learners. Her approach consists in tailoring clients’ learning plans to their needs based on their learning styles and geared towards their professional development. This brings a unique flavour to the new concept she developed for the targeted approach of À La Carte Language Services.
